Career and Technical Education Pathway Alignment Overview
Hawai`i Academies (HA) member schools have in the most part implemented smaller learning communities structured as career focused academies. These academies use career based pathways to structure their programs of study. Individual academies from different schools may follow one or more pathways depending on their respective constituent students' needs. Many have similar pathways incorporated into their academies.
While not a requirement, most schools have adopted pathways developed by Advanced CTE, a national organization of state based CTE groups. For the most part, Hawai`i Academies schools career based pathways have been developed using Advance CTE pathways and pathway cluster definitions.
This section documents the CTE Pathways that many Hawai`i Academies member schools have in common. This overview provides a synopsis on the career pathways implemented by HA schools and their SLC's. School adoption details are currently limited to participating member schools will be available when this effort is completed.
NOTE: Adoption counts below are subject to change as schools align their pathways and academy adoptions.
ALSO NOTE: Some schools have pathways identified at the cluster level. This are counted as related / unspecified pathways.
